In August 2020, David and his family drove from North Carolina to Bowling Green, Ohio to start David’s new life at college. David moved into his new dorm room, Macdonald hall, on Bowling Green’s campus on August 25th, 2020. On the same day, Bailey had volunteered to welcome the incoming students to their new home where she was assigned to volunteer at Macdonald hall. After a long morning, a sweet southern boy and his family came down the road and parked in front of MacDonald hall. Bailey introduced herself and offered to help David move in. For the next few hours, Bailey chatted with David’s family while David rushed to move in. They had the most wonderful, memorable conversations before David had to say goodbye to his family and go to orientation. Bailey left to help other families move in but never forgot about the sweet southern boy she met that day!

Later that semester, on September 4th, 2020, David had been celebrating his birthday with a few friends where they eventually ended the celebration outside of Macdonald hall. On the same night, Bailey had been with a group of friends, enjoying the beginning of the still-new semester. Bailey was driving back to her dorm and had just dropped off her friend at a neighboring dorm when she saw David outside on the stairs! She immediately remembered him and stopped to say hello, not knowing that this moment was the beginning of their love story:)

Since then, Bailey and David have had so many amazing, spontaneous memories from watching planes land at the BG (Bowling Green) airport, to adopting a kitten, visiting cedar point, going on family trips, and so much more. They eventually moved to Alabama together where David proposed on the beach, February 25th, 2024.
